Daniel Sanchez-Bustamante currently serves as the Mission Director of USAID/Ecuador. In this position he partners with representatives of the government, private sector, and civil society to advance Ecuador's development priorities. These include encouraging the sustainable management of Ecuador’s natural resources to mitigate climate change; and strengthening Ecuadorian public institutions and civil society organizations to increase transparency and participation.
Mr. Sanchez-Bustamante has worked for USAID since 2000; his most recent assignments include USAID/Peru Deputy Mission Director (2017-2021) and USAID/Jordan Program Officer (2014-2017).
