YAKU: Museo del Agua

Non-formal education space, that from the playful to the interactive, seeks to create unique experiences with water. Through each of their working areas and different expositions, YAKU seeks to educate and promote deeper understanding of water as the main source of life.

Thanks to the Productivity Secretariat of the Mayor's Office of Quito, the official headquarters of CLIIQ will be YAKU - Museo del Agua.


Location:​ Neighborhood "El Placer" Oe11-271, Quito

By car:On "Avenida Occidental," continue through the San Juan Tunnel. Upon exiting the tunnel, turn right towards the roundabout and turn onto Calle José López. Turn right on Calle Hermano Miguel and then turn right on Calle El Tejar. Next, turn left on Calle El Retiro an then turn left on Calle Baños. Go straight until you reach Calle El Placer and continue straight until you arrive at the YAKU. 

Public transportation:There are 3 bus companies that will take you towards the museum: Rapitrans, San Carlos, and 15 de Agosto. From the stop at Avenida Mariscal Sucre. Pass through the San Juan tunnel and get off the bus at the stop called El Tejar. Walk up the stairs and you will arrive the El Tejar church. At this point you have three options: wait for the bus at El Placer, walk, or take a taxi the rest of the way.
